For GeniusQuest^™ Film Academy diploma and certificate programs Media Production – Filmmaking Management, the standard requirements are:

• Age 18 and above
• Senior high school education or above
• English language ability – capable of understanding teaching in English*
• Enthusiasm for filmmaking
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Innovative spirit and open-mindedness

*All applicants for Ofqual regulated qualifications must meet the English Language proficiency requirements:  both written English competence and verifiable conversational abilities, comparable to an IELTS score of 6.0 or above (or equivalent). Applicants can be exempted from English language proficiency requirements if they can provide evidence indicating prior studies/qualifications were taught and assessed in English.

You will also be required to submit a 2-minute autobiographical video on one or more of these themes:  My Life, My Family, My Friends, My City.   We are looking to see your ability to creatively tell story in a short video. It is completely acceptable to film this video on your smartphone and edit with iMovie (or a similar app). 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR PART-TIME COURSES

There are generally no admission pre-requisites for introductory level part-time courses, workshops and seminars. Intermediate and advanced level courses require prior completion of the previous level or equivalent filmmaking knowledge or experience. Please refer to information provided with each course specification.
